Several higher learning institutions and schools on, 16th February also held a National Flag Hoisting Ceremony in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam 42nd National Day Celebration.

Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD held a flag hoisting ceremony at the Chancellor Hall, UBD. In attendance was Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, UBD VICE-CHANCELLOR. Organised by the Student Affairs Division, the event brought together university's staff and students in a spirit of unity to commemorate National Day.

Also held a national flag hoisting ceremony was Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) which took place at the University. In attendance was Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, RECTOR of UNISSA. The event was held to instill patriotic spirit among UNISSA residents in order to foster a sense of love for the country.

A similar ceremony was also held at the compound in front of Politeknik Brunei building. The ceremony was officiated by Pengiran Doctor Saiful Baharin bin Pengiran Haji Duraman, ACTING DIRECTOR of Politeknik Brunei. It aimed to increase internalisation for the independence of the country and strengthen the spirit of patriotism and love the country among the residents of Politeknik Brunei.

Labi Primary School and Labi Chung Hwa School with the Kampung Labi SATU and Labi DUA Consultative Council in the Belait District held a National Flag Hoisting Ceremony. It was attended by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah, Member of the Legislative Council.
